What you need

tbsp garlic

tbsp ginger

tbsp sake

tbsp light soy sauce

tsp white pepper

tsp cayenne pepper

tsp salt
egg
cup cornstarch
cup vegetable oil
Instructions
1 : In a mixing bowl, add garlic, ginger, sake, soy sauce, white pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, egg, cornstarch, and mochiko. Mix well until no loose flour is visible, then add the chicken and mix again. 2 : Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight. 3 : Add oil to a pot and heat to 350F, carefully add the marinated chicken and fry for 3 minutes until they turn golden brown. 4 : Transfer the chicken onto a cooling rack and bring the oil temperature back to 350F. Add the chicken back and fry for an additional 1 minute to make them extra crispy. 5 : Garnish with furikake, sesame seeds, seven spice, and scallions.
