What you need

star anise
cardamom pods
bay leaf

garlic clove
cup vegetable oil

cup cayenne pepper

tsp salt
Instructions
1 : Place Sichuan peppercorns, cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamon pod, bay leaf, and garlic in a small saucepan. Add oil and turn the heat to medium. 2 : When the oil starts to heat up, turn it down low and maintain a temperature between 250-275°F. Let it simmer for 30 minutes. 3 : Add Sichuan chili flakes, cayenne pepper, and salt into a heat-proof bowl. 4 : Carefully pour the oil over and stir well. 5 : Let it cool down and transfer to a mason jar or an airtight container.
