1 : In a mixing bowl, add gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, oil, black pepper, rice syrup, garlic, and ginger. Mix well. 2 : Add the chicken and mix with the sauce. 3 : Heat an ovenproof skillet over high heat, add the marinated chicken and cook for 3 minutes. Turn the heat down low, cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. 4 : Add the rice cakes on top, cover and continue simmering for another 5 minutes. 5 : Turn the oven broiler to high. 6 : Put the cheese cubes on top of the rice cakes and place the skillet in the oven. Cook for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 7 : Garnish with scallions and serve with rice.
